Descombe Launches New Natural Chardonnay
Familie Descombe has introduced its new natural Chardonnay, “Miss Chardo.” It picks up on the “Miss Gamay” line, which currently consists of Miss Gamay Rouge and Miss Gamay PetNat.
The grapes are manually harvested in the South of Beaujolais, followed by an eight-day skin maceration with whole clusters. It was fermented with native yeasts, followed by a natural malolactic fermentation to express its heritage. No sulfites were added during the vinification process.
Miss Chardo offers a bright orange color and scents of apricot, delicate honey, and dried herbs. On the palate, it is light with crisp acidity, offering high finesse through the well-integrated, fine-grained tannins. Its light body, combined with its delicate finesse, makes it an easily approachable expression for new natural wine drinkers or those just starting their orange wine experience.
